Entry Foyer and Media Room / Den
Outside the solid mahogany front door is an oversized greeting area with a high covered dormer and a large circletop window. Included are twin sidelites on either side of the door. Looking through the circletop window you see the cathedral ceiling in the entry foyer, custom oak railings on the second floor hall, and the custom bubbleglass chandelier hanging from the high ceiling.
Welcoming guests from the covered outdoor greeting area, the cathedral ceiling formal entry foyer opens into a custom patterned Italian ceramic tile floor with accents matching the bubbleglass chandelier. It flows into the hardwood floors of the dining room to further enlarge its effect. Two large guest closets are on either side. Looking above, the oak railing and ballusters enhance its high ceiling, and turns to expose the 2nd floor hallway reading nook with its own skylight overhead. A large first floor den or formal livingroom with glass French door is also adjacent to the foyer to add to its entry appeal.
The den, presently used as a home theater because of its coziness and location away from the hubbub of the rest of the house, has added insulation in the adjacent sunroom wall for soundproofing. With cherry wood floors and mood lighting, this room is perfect whether you choose it to be a den, home theater or formal living room.
